Privacy Policy

Last updated April 26, 2026. FolioHire is operated by Dion Software, LLC. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Short version We collect the information needed to run the marketplace: account details, photographer profiles, booking requests, messages, basic usage data, and support reports. We do not sell personal information. We share information when needed to operate FolioHire, comply with law, protect users, or complete interactions you start on the platform.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, password, role, newsletter preference, photographer application details, profile content, portfolio links, availability, packages, booking requests, messages, reviews, and support communications.

We may also collect technical information such as IP address, device and browser data, referral pages, timestamps, log data, and approximate location derived from your device or network.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, display photographer profiles, route booking requests, support conversations, prevent abuse, investigate reports, improve the platform, send operational messages, and comply with legal obligations.

If you opt into marketing, we may send product updates or marketplace news. You can opt out of marketing without affecting transactional messages.

3. How information is shared

FolioHire shares profile, booking, and message information with the users involved in the relevant interaction. For example, a photographer can see the customer details and brief needed to respond to a request.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate FolioHire, with authorities when required by law, and with others when necessary to protect users, enforce our terms, investigate suspected fraud, or respond to safety issues.

4. Payments and third parties

FolioHire does not currently process platform payments. If customers and photographers arrange payment directly, that payment information is handled by those users and their chosen payment providers, not by FolioHire.

Profiles may contain links to external sites such as portfolios, Instagram, or payment pages. Those sites are governed by their own privacy practices.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to operate the platform, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, comply with law, and enforce our terms.

You may request deletion of your account or certain personal information. Some records may be retained where legally required or reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or backup integrity.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards for the size and stage of the platform. No internet service is completely secure, and users are responsible for keeping their passwords and devices protected.

7. Your choices

You can update profile information in your account, unsubscribe from marketing emails, and contact us about access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as FolioHire evolves. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the platform or by email where appropriate.

Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@foliohire.com.
