FolioHire is a marketplace and coordination platform. We do not background-check users, supervise shoots, hold money, guarantee identity, or provide emergency services. These guidelines help customers and photographers reduce risk when they decide to work together.

Meet in public first
For first meetings, choose public, well-lit locations during daytime whenever possible. Share the plan with someone you trust.

Keep payments traceable
Avoid irreversible payment methods with people you have not met and verified. Keep written records of deposits, deliverables, cancellations, and refunds.
Before the shoot
- Review the profile, portfolio, message history, and booking details before committing.
- Confirm the other person matches their profile and ask reasonable questions if anything feels unclear.
- Put the shoot scope in writing: date, time, location, deliverables, usage rights, price, deposit, cancellation terms, and delivery timeline.
- Be cautious with pressure, urgency, overpayment stories, requests to refund mistaken payments, gift cards, crypto, wires, or requests to immediately move off-platform.
During the shoot
- Meet in a public location first when possible, especially for first-time bookings.
- Tell a friend or family member where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to be done.
- Bring a companion for private locations, intimate poses, alcohol-adjacent shoots, or any shoot involving minors. Minors should have a parent or guardian present.
- Leave if you feel unsafe. No booking requires you to stay in a situation that feels wrong.
After the shoot
- Keep communication and records until payment, delivery, and usage rights are fully resolved.
- Report suspicious behavior so FolioHire can investigate and, when appropriate, restrict or remove accounts.
- Remember that user disputes over payment, refunds, deliverables, usage rights, no-shows, or conduct are between the customer and photographer.

Report suspected fraud, impersonation, unsafe behavior, harassment, or platform abuse at trust@foliohire.com. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
